With
the proliferation of SPAM the decision has
been made to remove The Squadron members'
E-mail addresses from the Squadron web site.
Squadron members' addresses and phone numbers
have never been openly published on the site
and we will continue with this
policy.
As
most of our members know, the year-end issue
of the Red
Nose
Review
contains a printed roster with all contact
information contained in our files: mailing
addresses, phone numbers and e-mail
addresses. This contact information is now
available on-line in a
password
protected
format. The password is available to all who
are current on the dues. The link is in the
lefthand sidebar of the home
page.
Our
practice has been to mail copies of the
RNR
to all former 235 members for whom we had a
mailing address. With an increase in the
number of members and the increases in the
cost of printing and postage, this policy has
become too costly to continue.
We
now send the first issue of the year to all
former Death Angels for whom we have a
current mailing address. The second issue
will go to those who have paid dues at some
time in the past four years. The third issue
and the fourth issue (containing the printed
roster and the on-line password), will go
only to those paid up for the current year.
By
following this procedure we hope to not only
keep the cost in line, but have more members
choose to spend fifteen dollars a year to
help maintain the Squadron and to obtain a
printed roster of their friends and former
squadron members.
