TAPS

We regret to report that our friend and fellow marine John Stephen Howard died today, 22 July 2002, at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. John served in VMF-235 in 1954 , 1956 and 1957, flying the FJ-2 and FJ-4. John served a tour in Atsugi in 1956-57. After leaving the Corps, John was a successful real estate developer and broker in Los Angeles. John attended the first Squadron-235 gathering in Pensacola in 1989 and missed few of the 13 subsequent squadron gatherings. His friendship and his wit will be missed.

SQUADRON DINNER - NORFOLK

The Welcome Aboard party is scheduled at cocktail time and our dinner is scheduled shortly afterwards. Thursday, 12 September is the date. Specifics on location and menu will be posted shortly. Meanwhile, please contact Tom with the number in your party.

MCAA 2006 - YOU DECIDE

MCAA has decided to allow its members to select the site of the 2006 symposium. You may vote for the site of your choice on the MCAA website. The link to their site is located in the side bar at the left of this page.

DUES UPDATE

We are in the process of updating the site rosters to reflect the current dues status of each squadron member. Check the roster to see if you are current. If you aren't send $10 for your 2002 dues to: James E. Strawn, 4633 Bruce Road, Chester, VA 23831. Please contact us re any errors in your data.

NEWLY FOUND SQUADRON MEMBERS

Several former 235 members have contacted us in the past three to four weeks. We have not as yet been able to respond to each but shall do so in the near future. Meanwhile, welcome aboard and send Jim ten bucks. see above paragraph.
